Prostitute sold new born baby for N 20,000 in yenagoa.

As some people are looking for and praying to God for the fruit of the womb, it is a different case for a prostitute caught in Bayelsa alleged to have sold her new born baby.

An unnamed commercial sex worker in Yenagoa metropolis,
Bayelsa State, has sold her one-day-old baby for N20,000.
While some people said the prostitute was deliverd of the baby on
Sunday, others claimed she gave birth last week.
It was learnt that the prostitute was said to have arranged for the
buyer of the baby long before delivery.

It was further learnt that as soon as she delivered the baby, the
buyer, said to have come from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, came
on Monday to take delivery of the baby.
The whore was said to have sold the baby to avoid inconveniences
and distraction in her hustling.

When contacted, spokesman for Bayelsa Police Command, Mr.
Alex Akhigbe, confirmed the incident, adding that police
investigators had traced the matter to Rivers State.

He said, “I am aware. We got report that the commercial sex
worker sold the baby to a woman in Port Harcourt. Though the
details of the investigation are sketchy, the special unit of the
Police are on their way to effect the recovery of the baby and
arrest the family that bought the child.”
“Right now, Yenagoa Police Division is handling the investigation.
Later it will be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation
