President Muhammadu Buhari is missing at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which is holding today at the council chambers of the Aso Rock presidential villa, thereby leaving Yemi Osinbajo presiding over the emergency session of the council over the 2016 budget details currently.
According to Naij.com Reports say the meeting commenced at exactly 11.10am when the vice president arrived the chambers of the villa. President Buhari, who is believed to be in the country, was not at the meeting and it is not yet clear why the meeting is being chaired by the vice president.
Heads of agencies and parastatals, cabinet members, as well as several presidential aides are also attending the meeting. At the time of filing the report, it was gathered that state house correspondents were asked to vacate the chambers as the FEC members commenced “crucial budget session” to review the details of the 2016 Appropriation Bill which was received by the presidency yesterday.
