It was a night lit with Stars at 58th Grammy awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday night Taylor swift pointed out that she was the first woman to win the prize twice, while Adele was bedevilled by technical difficulties in her performance. Having opened the show with a version of her hit Out of the Woods, Taylor swift’s 1989 grabbed the Album Of the year. Taylor’s emotion was rolled out in a defiant acceptance speech which seemed to allude to her argument with Kanye West earlier in the week. The rapper’s new song Famous, referring to Swift, claims: “I made that bitch famous.”

I want to thank the fans for the last ten years and the recording academy for giving us this unbelievable honor. I want to thank all of my collaborators who you see on this stage. Mostly I want to thank my co-executive producer Max Martin who has deserved to be up here for 25 years.
As the first woman to win the Album of the Year at the Grammys twice I want to say to all the young women out there: there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people side track you, someday when you get to where you’re going, you’ll look around and you’ll know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment.
