Ijesa group drums support for Omisore

Ahead of the August 9 election in Osun, a group of political and Community leaders in Oriade and Obokun local government areas of Osun state under the aegis of Ijesa North Leaders of Thought, has said that their “interests would be better protected, if the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Iyiola Omisore, wins the coming governorship election.”

This is part of the communiqué issued at the end of the meeting of the group held in Ilase, a town in Obokun local government area, where issues affecting people of the communities in the constituency were discussed.

Reading the communique Bashorun Tayo Omojowogbe, said the main reason for the meeting was to take a critical look at political and economic trend in the state with a view to forge a direction for its people.

Omojowogbe said the development the two local government areas in the constituency witnessed while it had member of House of Representatives, commissioner and board members, who he said were given opportunities to serve by the PDP, were unprecedented and declared that the people of the area are ready to repay the party now.

“The people had better story to tell under PDP and they have mandated us as their leaders to pledge their loyalty for the aspirations of Otunba Iyiola Omisore, who was instrumental to the success story of our people under PDP reign through many interventions.
