After a week that we reported that a Rivers State house of assembly lawmaker, Mr. Golden Chioma has been kidnapped, the lawmaker representing Etche II Constituency captors are demanding huge sum of N200m as ransom.
But a source close to the family of the victim said the kidnappers
had established contact with them (family members) and asked for
N200m as ransom.
Though it was gathered that the family told the abductors of their
breadwinner that they could not pay such an amount of money, it
could not be ascertained if the kidnappers were ready to reduce

Sources said the incident, which occurred between 7.30pm and
8pm caused confusion within the area as residents watched helplessly as the lawmaker was being driven away to an unknown destination.
Meanwhile, the Leader of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Chidi
Lloyd, has condemned the abduction of the lawmaker.
