FG Gets A Royal Appeal from Emir Of Kano

The Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II has advised the government to set up a powerful committee that will help reduce the hardship Nigeria is going through, he made this appeal at his Palace while hosting the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo who paid a working visit to the State over the weekend.

The Emir, who is an economist of repute, proffered setting up of a powerful Committee by the Federal Government that will lessen the unbearable living condition of majority of Nigerians while restating his determination to assist the Government in that direction.

Malam Muhammad Sanusi then appealed to the Buhari Administration to put more efforts in revamping the economy, adding that, with a robust economy, the country will revive its ailing industries and offer ample employment and other opportunities to its citizens. Speaking earlier, the Vice President have told the Emir that he was in the State to commiserate over the unfortunate fire disaster that destroyed Sabon Gari Market and commissioned a number of projects executed by the State Government. Professor Osinbajo appeals to Nigerians to continue to be patient with the Buhari Administration saying that, the only agenda being pursued by the President is to improve the lots of the people.

In another development, the visiting Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo has commissioned 500 Refuse Sanitation Trucks acquired by the State Government to assist in sanitation exercise throughout the State. The trucks with 50 women drivers trained purposely for such purpose are to complement to over 200 currently in operation in the State. Vice President Osinbajo commended Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for taking a right decision of affording women in the State the opportunity to contribute to the development of the State and empower them economically.
